Pre-K 1 Teachers

Miss Sam

I have three girls: Macie, Paisley, and Kinsley. I currently attend Grand Canyon University where I am working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I was a stay at home mom for four years, but previous to that I was a paraprofessional with a company that worked with the IU. I worked with children who needed help with various behaviors. This work made me fall in love with being in the classroom and teaching young children. I worked with behaviorally challenged children for two years, and then worked with children who were autistic in Central Bucks. I also have experience with Head Start preschool-aged children. After I complete my Bachelor’s degree, it is my plan to go for my Master’s degree in Special Education. Special Education is my passion! I suffered during my schooling because of a lack of good Special Ed teachers, and I want to help young children to love school! I can’t wait to get to know you and your child during this school year!

Miss Katie

Hello! My name is Katie Brown and I am very excited to be your child’s Pre K teacher this year. I knew from the time I was a little girl that I wanted to be a teacher, and I am so thrilled that I get to pursue my dream. I grew up in Doylestown, PA and graduated from Central Bucks West High School in 2009. In 2013, I graduated from Cabrini College with a bachelor’s degree in both elementary and special education. During the first few years of my career, I substitute taught in local school districts and worked as a personal care assistant in Central Bucks School District. In 2018, I moved on to teach Pre-K at Chesterbrook Academy in North Wales, PA. Later, I taught Kindergarten at the Goddard School in Doylestown. I joined the TLC family in June of 2022 and have enjoyed working in both the previous Kindergarten classroom and the Pre-K classroom over the summer. Pre-K is a very important and exciting age for all children. It provides them with an opportunity to both learn and practice the essential social, emotional, problem-solving, and study skills which they will use throughout their academic careers. Pre-K also plays a significant role in young children’s development by giving them confidence, boosting their self-esteem, and teaching them how to interact with others. I look forward to getting to know each one of you and your children as we work together to prepare them for Kindergarten next year!
