Pre-K Counts Teachers

Renee Palkendo

Hello! I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! I began working at TLC during the summer of 2021 and am looking forward to a fun year of getting to know everyone as we enjoy the fun journey of learning together.

I am originally from central PA and graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2015 with my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation I started working in a child care center in Bloomsburg and then bounced around with most of my teaching experience in the federally funded preschool program, Head Start.

I love teaching and still find the magic in watching children learn and grow during their time in my classroom. Over the years I have found children learn best when they are involved in the process through hands on investigations as well as learning about things that interest them. I do my best to help students stay engaged in the process of learning and always tell parents learning is messy at this age so expect and prepare for us to get dirty!

As a teacher, and now parent, I have found communication to be extremely important so we are all on the same page. We all have the same goals of helping your child be the best that they can be! Please feel free to reach out to me with any comments, questions, or concerns. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child, and I am excited to be a part of your village.

Together we are going to have an amazing year!

I’m so excited to be a part of the TLC family! I started off as a floater teacher, but found my home in Pre-K. I have my Associate’s Degree in Psychology from Bucks County Community College and I’m currently at Kutztown University getting my Bachelor’s in Special Education and Secondary English Education. I was a nanny for the same family for 5 years and have had the honor of watching them grow into themselves.

I love being a teacher and being around children because they always light up my day. I have always loved children and watching them grow into their personalities. As someone with a Psychology degree; one of the most important things is the child’s well being, both mentally and physically and hitting all necessary milestones. I’m so excited to meet and watch your children grow. Nothing is better than hearing a bunch of kids calling your name in excitement that you’re there!
