I graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. I worked as a substitute teacher in Souderton and Pennridge for three years prior to working as an Assistant Director. I have been with TLC since 2013. I enjoy teaching and a passion for helping children. I just love to see their little minds at work! I also encourage children to take risks and challenging themselves to try new things.
(or Jessie as the kids call me!)
I took child development classes in the 11th grade and enjoyed it very much! These classes motivated my career choice after I graduated from Pennridge High School. I enjoy doing many activities with the children, but my favorites are puzzles, reading together, and gross motor time. My kids know I’m always willing to help with a puzzle or read a story with silly voices and all! I take pride in my job and enjoy every smile and hug.
Miss Erika Franklin
I began working at TLC in 2018 after earning my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education in 2018. I have experience working with children of all ages. I formally taught gymnastics for five years and worked as a lead toddler teacher in a preschool. I feel that children deserve the chance to be educated properly while being cared for and shown compassion by their educators. It’s important to be patient, kind, and accepting of the children when educating them as well as meeting their individual needs. Each child should be given a time to shine and show off their accomplishments as well as strengths, it’s important to build a child’s self-esteem and confidence. I also believe that communication between parents and teachers is a key part in a child’s development, and I value the relationships that are built in doing so.
